{"id":989,"date":"2012-04-03T16:16:51","date_gmt":"2012-04-03T23:16:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/libernetics.com\/?p=989"},"modified":"2012-04-03T16:21:33","modified_gmt":"2012-04-03T23:21:33","slug":"crossfit-using-discipline-to-keep-going","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/libernetics.com\/?p=989","title":{"rendered":"Crossfit: using discipline to keep going"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today we did a set of 21-15-9 db thruster\/push presses and lateral jumping burpees. \u00a0I used a 25# db. \u00a0For the\u00a0second\u00a0day in a row I had workouts that (ahem!) gave me the\u00a0opportunity\u00a0to apply some discipline. \u00a0Which is another way of saying the workout challenged\u00a0me to not give up to early.<\/p>\n<p>Thrusters require a lot out of me anyway, a set of 1 thruster + 1 push press = 1 rep is really hard. \u00a0Think of it as double the workout. \u00a0After the first 21 thrusters I didn&#8217;t have much left and had to pace myself during the burpees. \u00a0The second set was where the mental had to force the physical to keep going. \u00a0Short quick sets of three, put the dbs down, take two breaths, pick the dbs back up, and next set.\u00a0Third set same thing. \u00a0I think I got 98% of the workout.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve got a bit more to give. \u00a0But I&#8217;m getting there.<\/p>\n<p><script type=\"text\/javascript\">\/\/ <![CDATA[\n google_ad_client = \"pub-0675667561792454\"; \/* Ad#1 Writers Block *\/ google_ad_slot = \"4888260728\"; google_ad_width = 300; google_ad_height = 250;\n\/\/ ]]><\/script><br \/>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\" src=\"http:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/show_ads.js\">\/\/ <![CDATA[\n\n\n\/\/ ]]><\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For the second day in a row I had workouts that (ahem!) gave me the opportunity to apply some discipline.
