{"id":1198,"date":"2012-04-12T16:27:48","date_gmt":"2012-04-12T23:27:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/libernetics.com\/?p=1198"},"modified":"2012-04-12T16:27:48","modified_gmt":"2012-04-12T23:27:48","slug":"crossfit-conversations-with-better-athletes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/libernetics.com\/?p=1198","title":{"rendered":"Crossfit: conversations with better athletes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This week the CFES\u00a0foundations\u00a0class had 2 WODs that involve running, and I happened to be at both of them. \u00a0The one from the other day involved 2 rounds of 200m-400m-600m runs, then a 6 round <a title=\"Tabata\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tabataprotocol.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">tabata<\/a> of\u00a0\u00a0burpees, pullups, dumbbell clean and jerk, knees to bars.<\/p>\n<p>One of the\u00a0athletes\u00a0working out that day was from the Level 1 classes. \u00a0I worked out along side her. \u00a0It was interesting to note that she was working quite a bit harder. \u00a0I outweigh her by 40\u00a0pounds, but she outran me, did more burpees, pullups, knees to bars and used heavier dumbells (15# vs. 25#.)<\/p>\n<p>I had scaled the dumbells so I could get more reps, but I didn&#8217;t get more then she did. \u00a0But none of that really bothered me. \u00a0What I noticed was that she was got more out of herself. \u00a0She was really working.<\/p>\n<p>I mentioned intensity to her, and she told me that it was often the case that she was near\u00a0exhaustion\u00a0and nausea during the WODs.
